Medical Management Plans
Medical management plans are individualized health assessments created by a school nurse.
This is a helpful tool to ensure a student's healthcare needs are being properly managed and communicated to the necessary staff.
Depending on the health condition, Individualized Health Plans (IHP) may prompt the development of student Emergency Evacuation Plans (EEP) and/or Emergency Care Plans (ECP), both of which are also initiated and developed by the school nurse.
These plans stem from the intervention component of the IHP and provide instruction on addressing healthcare needs or the appropriate response to a student’s healthcare issue.
