The administration of medication in the school setting is a service that is provided to promote wellness, decrease absenteeism and remove a barrier to learning.

When a student needs to receive medication in school, safe and proper administration is essential.

Schools are required to have a medication policy in accordance with Section 380.1178 of the Michigan School Code.
