Chromebook Troubleshooting Tips

1) When the Chromebook is plugged in, what color is the light by the charge port?

  • If there is no light, check for another charging port. Otherwise, it needs to be serviced

  • If the light is red, leave the device plugged in for 20 minutes and check again

  • If the light is orange, the device is charging

  • If the light is green, the device is fully charged

2) What if my chromebook stops responding?

  • Force restart the device either by holding the power button until it shuts down or by holding the power and refresh buttons together until it shuts down. Then, power the device back on

3) What if my chromebook dies as soon as it is unplugged?

  • We will need to replace the battery

4) What if my chromebook is damaged?

  • You will need to submit a repair request. A repair cost may apply
