Airport Community Schools strives to provide the best treatment possible for all students with communication delays and disorders in our district. We are committed to addressing the needs of individual students, and providing quality interventions for students with articulation impairments, fluency and resonance disorders, and language delays.

The services of the speech pathologist are mandated under special education rules and regulations. Speech and Language services are available to students who have communication problems that affect their participation in the educational setting. Students need to have an Individual Education Plan (IEP) in place to be eligible for services.

If you believe your child has delays or disorders which may require the intervention of a speech language pathologist, contact your child's teacher or the speech language pathologist assigned to your school building. They will help you to start the process of evaluation.
